I am an Artistic Photographer working in many styles, from Landscape to Street to Fine Art Nude. My greatest trait and weakness is not choosing a style to master. I prefer the excitement of change and will never desire perfection.
As a boy, I was struck by my grandfather's artwork in my grandparents’ home. He was a graphic artist from the 1950s to the 80s. I wanted to make art like him until my father put a camera in my hands and said, “Shoot what you see.” From that day forward, I was a photographer.
My art reflects my inner thoughts about the past, present, and future. It draws on life experiences, traumatic events, and cherished memories. I use my camera as a paintbrush and a typewriter; sometimes I want to paint, and sometimes I want to tell a story. My work can be a long, thought-out process or a quick shutter snap at an opportune moment.
My work is meant to evoke a feeling or emotion within those who see it. I like to show both clash and harmony, depending on the subjects. If it brings you happiness or disgust, so be it.
